關於El Beneficio和Iris莊園
我們是Rene和Iris,我們於1982年12月18日結婚,並開始了我們的咖啡種植的旅程。Rene原來自聖地牙哥德普林格拉(Santiago Puringla),他的父親是一位咖啡豆製造商。他父親深厚的咖啡種植文化帶著他們的事業走過了上下坡,並且為他們的家庭奮鬥,使他們有機會受高等教育。

Our farms have been producing one of the best coffees in the region for 35 years, located in the Cordillera de Montecillos area, a spectacular microclimate for growing grain.
But it was not until 2012 that the family made the decision to establish a Commercial Limited Liability Company with Variable Capital, called Café Mericié (CAMER), with the main purpose of selling and marketing coffee in all its forms, import and export, purchase and sale of products related to the main business and representations of national and international companies; and carry out any lawful act of commerce permitted by the commercial laws of our country. However, the company may fulfill its purposes when it deems it convenient, or to engage in other businesses or companies of legal commerce in the Republic of Honduras, to carry out any technical, commercial operation, or any other activity related to the main ones.
About farms El Beneficio and Iris
On December 18, 1982, we held our wedding, Rene and Iris, and thus began our adventure through coffee growing with the acquisition of Finca el Beneficio.
Rene is originally from Santiago Puringla, the son of coffee producers with a rich coffee-growing culture that keeps them in the business in good times and bad, fighting to improve their family, leading them to the highest educational opportunities. The first cultivated farm is called El Beneficio, with varieties typical of that time such as tipica, caturra, pacas and bourbón, which have been renewed with varieties more resistant to pests.
In 2005, the farm named Iris was acquired, located in the Peña Blanca area, planted with the same varieties and undergoing renovation, due to the pest situation.
In 2022 we started to plant Parainema and Geisha coffee trees in Finca Iris to diversify our farms portfolio, and increase cup Quality.
In 2024 we have acquired new Farm named after one of our Members. The new farm is called Bertha and is located right in front of Finca Iris.Inside the farm there is IHCAFE 90, catimor, lempira and Parainema coffee trees. This new addition will allow us to have more production and provide costumers with higher volumes.
We have now two fully operational wet mill stations that allow us to be more efficient in the washing process and honey processes. Plus different patios and drying beds. in different locations that allow us to take advantage of different temperatures and weather conditions to dry our coffees.
We have two different water sources one from within our farm and one from a nearby creek. We are trying to preserve as much water as possible so this water sources are very important for our farm ecosystem.
